About Lynn

I am celebrating 40 years of being a therapist…this is how it all began…

How my Journey began

“God is love” was a quote given to me as a teenager during a time when life felt unsafe, lonely, and overwhelming. I didn’t fully understand its meaning until much later, at age 30, when a series of health scares changed the direction of my life forever.

Confused, misunderstood, and sensitive to everything around me, something within me began to shift. Beneath the guilt, shame, and sadness, I started to recognise that I was loved, and that I could begin to relate to myself differently.

A turning point

During that difficult period, a wise man gave me a book called Power in Prayer. His kindness and timing had a profound impact on me. Through that experience, my beliefs began to change. I learned the value of gratitude, not only for what was good, but also for what was challenging, and I started to see life through a new lens.

Every moment, every encounter, and every struggle became part of a larger understanding: that I could choose to be present, supported, and open to a different way of living.

This was the beginning of asking the age‑old question: Who am I? And slowly, my health, my life, and my attitude began to transform.

I realised I was not a victim. My body had carried emotional scars from the past, and it was up to me to take charge of my life; physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.

A path of learning and growth

Fourteen years after that turning point, massage became my profession. Working closely with clients taught me how deeply our bodies hold our histories, the past and present woven into tension, emotion, and physical expression.

Feeling the emotional pain that clients carried encouraged me to explore the connection between the body, the mind, and the patterns that shape us. I developed my own intuitive way of working, listening to the body and responding to what it revealed.

As a lifelong student, I continued to deepen my learning. I studied breathwork, guided meditation, inner‑child work, and other therapeutic approaches that supported emotional release and personal insight.

Expanding my understanding

2008 was a pivotal year. I studied Integral Core Therapy and joined an ongoing group called Core Realisation, which continues to enrich my understanding today.

These teachings strengthened my belief that much of our suffering comes from how we interpret our lives, and that change becomes possible when we begin to see ourselves with compassion and honesty.

This led me to embark on psychotherapy training in 2008, beginning my journey toward becoming a counsellor.

Continuing the journey

My personal journey continues to evolve. Every experience, every challenge, and every moment of growth informs the way I support others. I bring my history, my learning, and my compassion into my work, offering a space where clients can explore their own stories, reconnect with themselves, and move toward personal transformation.

I walk this path alongside the people I support… growing, learning, and discovering what it means to live with presence, clarity, and self‑acceptance.
